An old-style threaded spindle rod for dummy doorknobs. Designed specifically for doorknobs where a non-turning doorknob is desired, such as pantry doors, closet doors, folding doors, & French doors. Made of solid steel, this spindle is sturdy & durable. This particular dummy spindle has a size of 3/8" - 20 threads per inch (TPI), which is a standard & common size for many doorknobs. Excellent for your reproduction doorknobs, or just a replacement for your old chewed-up spindles. for the shorter length dummy spindle standard thread. *Note: Drilling a very shallow recess of 1/16" deep & 1" diameter may be necessary in some cases, in order for some rosettes & escutcheons to sit smooth on the door surface with these dummy spindles.
