The backside of the blade is made for hitting with a wooden club or mallet. The handle can be easily taken apart from the blade, making it easy to transport. Made of the highest quality Swedish steel available, this axe's head weighs 3-1/4 lb. & has a 12" long face, with 17-1/2" long hickory handle.
Each axe head is hand-forged from special Swedish steel which is then honed, tempered, & annealed to the perfect hardness by the experienced Grnsfors Bruk Swedish smiths who stamp their initials on the head, creating a one-of-a-kind masterpiece you'll treasure for years to come.
