The characteristic curved angle shape of the cutting edge carries well above the head's eye, & is positioned up on the curved handle making this axe more helpful for carving control & better function when used. Inspired from old & traditional Swedish carving techniques, this new pattern carving axe is a beauty to behold! The axe has a 4-3/8" long face, with a 14" long hickory handle & weighs 2-1/2 lb. Axe includes a grain leather sheath as well.
Each axe head is hand-forged from special Swedish steel which is then honed, tempered, & annealed to the perfect hardness by the experienced Grnsfors Bruk Swedish smiths who stamp their initials on the head, creating a one-of-a-kind masterpiece you'll treasure for years to come.
