  ThisJapanese Suehiro "Splex" Waterstone - 1000 Gritis forsharpening carving tools, knives, planes, &kitchen knives, etc.This mediumgrit waterstone is good for after thefirst round of sharpening on a different coarser stone, then it is best to moveto a finer grit waterstone afterwards. for the coarser "Splex" 800 grit waterstone & for the finer "Splex" 1200 grit waterstone. Use water only for lubrication.Made in Japan.
