A durable & handsome solid brass transom latch & universal strike. This latch has an old time attractive square style, but it will easily fit in with any time period from Victorian, to current modern styles. The latch is spring loaded & is normally installed at the top of transom windows, but it may also be used on loft doors as well. Once installed, the latch is usually operated by a pole; ideally with a transom hook attached to the pole. This most handy & attractive latch will definitely help you out when you need to open a hard-to-reach small door or window!
