A durable & handsome solid brass transom latch & boxstrike. This latch has an old time attractive square style, but it will easily fit in with any time period from Victorian, to current modern styles. The latch is spring loaded & is normally installed at the top of transom windows, but it may also be used on loft doors as well. Once installed, the latch is usually operated by a pole; ideally with a transom hook attached to the pole. This most handy & attractive latch will definitely help you out when you need to open a hard-to-reach small door or window!
