A special "egg"scraper "Ziehklinge Eiform" made by Ulmiain Germany, it is a great tool for contoured surfaces.The scraper creates razor-thin shavings & produces a fine smooth finish when used. It is a fantastic alternative to sandpaper because it produces a precise & even surface, unlike sandpaper which tends to remove the softer parts of the wood grain more easily when sanding. The scraper is durable, & will hold an edge burr well. The blade also sharpens well when the need arises. About sharpening your cabinet scraper
The key to a great cabinet scraper is in the burnishing, or the sharpening of the tool.
