The smoothly swept claws were borrowed from Vaughan's"999" Rip Hammer, &the extra large striking face, hatchet eye &sturdy handle are a heritage of theRigbuilder's Hatchet. The hatchet style handle is best grade, second growth hickory. To provide extra strength, the handle has a large cross section where it joins the fully polished head.Smooth Face on framing hammer. Rust-resistant powder coat finish. Hickory hardwood handle. Made in USA.
